I just got stung by a pair of fake Raybans. When I queried the seller about his obvious pre-loved fake "Rayban Clubmasters", he said he didn't know that they were fake & he paid full price for them. He wants me to send them back & refund me. Well, obviously I don't trust him, so I will leave it in the hands of the Paypal Resolution Centre. What irks me is the amount of sellers, who when I query if the item I'm looking at buying or bidding for, give me the "I don't know if it's genuine or not!" If they are not sure, why don't they state that? GRRRRRR ๐

The retailer will often assist in stamping out copies by reporting to authorities and offering reports of fakes to unsuspecting buyers.
It is in their interest as well as the wholesaler. In fact many wholesalers will give incentives to retailers for reports of fakes, especially now fakes are outlawed in Australia.
