Are you saying the seller is registered in China and the item came from their distribution center in NSW?

If so, a distribution center like that cannot receive mail

What is the reason for you wanting a refund?

Is it not as described or did you change your mind?

Similar thing happened to me: item listed as in Melbourne, Australia. It arrives defective so I initiate a refund request. Seller initially tried to offer me a 50% refund. Then they try to get me to send it back to an Australian warehouse address but outside of the refund system. I insist that they issue a postage label through the proper eBay system because I smell a rat at this point. They then issue a refund label pointing to some warehouse in China.

I'm pretty sure this is a violation of eBay's seller policy around misrepresenting item location. It's also likely a violation of Australian Consumer Law around deceptive and misleading advertising. I'm assuming the seller will try to wait out the clock, so I'll be interested to see if eBay are willing to do anything about this when I call them on Monday.

@markmuir87, do not wait! If you’ve been issued with a postage label in the dispute, you need to return the item.

It wouldn’t hurt to contact eBay (asap) just to confirm that all is fine with the label. Just don’t let the return window time out, or you will lost the dispute.

Monday is a public holiday so good luck with that

Australian consumer law does not apply to sellers in China

Do not play games with the seller, open and follow through with the dispute

The seller you bought from is shown as registered in China and have rubbish feedback
