I bought 4 x pairs of baby socks (each was one auction) and the postage from VIC to NSW was going to be $10 per pair. They 'discounted' it from $40 to $30. I asked a few questions and was given the okay to send my own pre-paid, pre-addressed 3kg bag (which cost me $11.70). Now they are refusing to put the bag in the post & want me to arrange collection. I"m in Sydney and they are in Melbourne.
I copied the part of the correspondence to ebay customer complaint.
(quote) Please organise some else to pick up this item and post it to you. I am sure you have experience with ebay and you know some people make extra money on postage just like i do. I will accept the plastic satchel but I am sorry I will not waste my time walking / drive to post the item this for nothing. Let me know when you have find the person to help you to post the item Thanks (end quote from seller)
Has anyone got a response from customer support about unfair behaivour/ bad service/ postage pirates?
note: I looked up their house on google maps and there is a post office less than 1km from their home. Love google maps.

I really shouldn't be here but I'm so engrossed in this story I had to do a little follow up. You might want to check the seller's feedback, they seem to have feedback from someone very close to their location. I wonder if they've built up feedback by buying from each other.

Or maybe that's the husband's ID - expensive postage, same suburb - or, I could just be a really confused person barking up the wrong tree ]:)

Oh absolutely (rolls eyes)
That buyer REALLY likes the sock seller & vice versa ie sock seller leaves glowing feedback but gets nothing in return except feedback for her tools.

Let's not be mean. It's very sad that they have both lost their fathers and been left to sell off their estates...

I know you are now collecting them Kustom, my point was that the buyer originally wanted postage even if it was in their own satchel so the seller had probably already spent time getting them out ready and may even have started packaging them up and for that they would have been perfectly within their rights to make a handling charge even if it was only 50c per item.

Their photos are even taken on the same table! Man that is really lazy.

Well perhaps we could pass around a hat and then Kopenhagen could give them 50c for the inconvenience of getting out of bed and answering the door. Anyway, as has been shown here, for some people it is less about the money and more about kindness and good old fashioned customer service.
