If I have left positive feedback (5 star) why is it not accepted unless I make an inane comment?

The subject is my question. Why can't I just leave 5 stars without making a stupid embarrising comment?

I am sure that I am not alone in thinking this!

lol good point

I am sure others do think the same way too.

If you do wish to rate a seller, maybe just leave " thank you " as the feedback comment, IMO it is polite and hard to be viewed as embarrassing

*tounge planted firmly in cheek*    Personally I love getting gushy feedback from buyers and sellers telling me how fantastic I am, cause I am fantastic and happy that others know it too Cat LOL

"Great". "Better than I expected". "Fast postage".

A sample of what I receive. But not embarrassing. For either buyer or seller.

You could always just leave a . But that WOULD probably be embarrassing.

really?

leaving a comment that you dont want to leave a stupid comment looks sillier to me than just a plain

Good

or

Thank You

or

all OK

If you ever buy from me don't fret about the comment, a ful stop will do, I rarely even look at my feedback never mind read it lol.

the comment is for the benefit of other buyers - although the seller appreciates your 5 stars no-one else can see that you left them - so for other buyers, they would like to know how the transaction went

was it carefully packed?    was the description well done and accurate?    did the item get despatched quickly?  did you receive any communication saying that the item had been sent?

If you are taking the time to leave positive comment - and believe me, unlike perhaps pj who doesn't care - sellers love 5 stars - it only takes another few seconds to add something, no need to be embarrasing at all

e.g.    item well packed and posted promptly, seller happy to combine postage cheaply.

see?  that took me 1 second.  Smiley Happy

Agreed, and you don't even have to type it out most of the time. Just enter the first character and you can then use a previously saved comment instead. It can't be any easier than that.
