Inbound postage delays USA-Victoria

If you are in Victoria and experiencing long delays in receiving shipment from USA, read on.

We have 6 inbound shipment that have been sitting in LA for about a month.  On checking the USPS web site for COVID related issues I came across this information"

Australia Post advises that government-imposed restrictions in Melbourne due to COVID-19 have affected its operations for the state of Victoria. Because of a reduction in processing capacity, acceptance of inbound international letters and parcels at the Melbourne office of exchange is temporarily suspended. Express mail service items will continue to be accepted and processed. Australia Post requests that all inbound international letters and parcels be diverted to another office of exchange (Brisbane, Perth or Sydney) until the restrictions have been lifted.

This would explain why one of our shipments went to Perth and then arrive here in Melbourne 2 weeks later

May also explain why tracking for another shipment we are expecting shows LA-SYD-MEXICO!! -  where the package has now been for 2 weeks..  Maybe the AusPost clerk in Sydney threw the package into the bag for Mexico instead of Melbourne?

Victoria is Mexico, I don't see the issue.
