What is with all the international sellers posing as Australian locals? I purposely set out to buy from Australia to support Australian sellers and after buying, I find out they are international sellers that take ages to post from their apparent local location. Clearly the item is being shipped internationally and the money is going overseas. How do we filter out international sellers? It it so bad lately that after years of only being with eBay, I made an Amazon account and bought my first item. This has to stop or I'll be ditching eBay altogether.
Is anyone else having this issue?

Rubbish, all you have to do is look at the seller's feedback and that shows where they are REGISTERED.

BUT, but if I did that then I would have nothing to complain about.

@goodiesinaus wrote:Yes, that was exactly what my post meant. And now I know I can get that info but who has time for that? I certainly don't have hours to spent trying to find the Aussie stuff I want. Then there's the dalay in postage. If I buy something from my local city, I expect to get it the next business day or at least by three business days... Not three weeks!
Why have eBay Australia if you can't easily find Aussie buyers or even filter out international sellers?
If you see something listed as in Australia and the delivery date is 3 weeks away, that is a red flag right there (if you live in a metro area).
Today i received a parcel from Qld (I am in Vic) and it only took a few days to get here. I would say 5-10 days would cover most things. That includes the weekends.
The ones that say the item is in eg Sydney but delivery won't be for 3 or 4 weeks, they are probably lying about item location, as far as I am concerned. I'd either skip them altogether or investigate further before buying.

Another supporting this **bleep**. Buyers shouldn't have to do that much work to seek out local buyers.
Done with this **bleep**. eBay won't change because you justify the useless **bleep**. Adios.

Profanity gets bleeped.
Bleep off. If you can't spend a few seconds ascertaining where a seller is registered, or a nanosecond checking EDD, eBay is probably not a platform for you.
I doubt you will be missed. IF you actually go away.

Answer :
I actually got off my bum - went downtown - cause I refuse to buy China.
All I needed was a laundry container to soak washing.

Well aren't you a charmer.
springy tried to help you & this is how you reply... smh
If one click is too much work for me then "Adios" is a good idea.

OP, your name calling is disgraceful. Stop it.
People on these boards can disagree with each other; they don’t have to like each other, and can even express conflicting viewpoints in forcefully expressed ways, but trying to use profanity and offensive contumely is not on.

Please accept my apologies... I don't use a mobile for that very reason... one click on a laptop for me.
Thank you for another charming reply.
