I type PASSWORD into Promotional Code section and it says not valid? This is regarding the sale on the homepage currently.

It's a different code word and only a measly 5%. 😉

The 5% discount is site wide and has been going for several weeks.  It expires at the end of the month.

It might be only 5% but I have been getting everything I buy and win for 5% less.

I've had better luck finding stuff on eBay, checking to see if the seller has their own online store then working out it is cheaper to bypass eBay altogether....5% off or not.

I finally have seen a few things where 5% off would mean something. 

Alas, they are all up for auction and the auctions end on 01 and 02 Jun.  Figures.
