Not a concern for me at all. Some sellers, particularly big sellers, have their own order management systems in place and don't use eBay's tools at all. Unless the item is already late, and by more than a few days (according to eBay's estimate), I would take the seller at his word and work on the presumption that it is on its way. They have not been uncommuncative, they informed you when they shipped, there is no valid reason to disbelieve them at this point.

The reality jen is I sometimes say i would do this or that but don't always do it.
For instance, I have sometimes received items yet they haven't been marked as sent & I still give 5 stars without hesitation.
If I got an email to say and item had been sent, I would definitely still give 5 stars.
It isn't a big issue to me whether they mark it in my ebay or send an email, communication is communication.
The only time I might hesitate is where I have paid for an item and a week or two goes by & the item has not been marked as sent, I have not heard from the seller & have not received the item.
That is bothersome for me as then I wonder-should I contact the seller to ask, don't want to be rude etc
I have been lucky in that I have not been put in that situation for ages now. People tend to post things off much faster than they did a few years back.
