Having waited 2 weeks for another item 'in the post' from a chinese registered seller claiming the item to be in Australia. I punched the reference number in the tracking website for Aust Post (it wasn't a tracking number - just the "AP Article ID" ) and found that the item had only been in their system for 4 days despite the seller marking it as posted 11 days earlier. A couple of emails asking which country it was being sent from were answered with either genuine or faked 'pigeon' english giving generic answers to anything but the question asked. The return address on the label is very interesting. UBI Smart Parcel. http://www.ubismartparcel.com/en/ubi-smart-parcel When I check their website I find they offer a service to chinese sellers in maintaining a 'virtual' overseas warehouse. They claim they can provide this seamless service including pre printing Australia Post franked address labels from back in China due to their extensive partnerships with companies including eBay and Australia Post. Why is eBay and our federal postal service aiding and abeting these miserable liars. I choose to purchase from Australian sellers who run businesses, pay taxes and employ people locally. Why would our own government allow Australia Post to participate in this deception that is hurting Australian sellers.

Not this time............unless there were more than the 2?
March is my favourite month. All the leaves on the trees start to change.

I would like to believe you, but as you think a 9+ month old thread is current, I doubt your credibility.

what **bleep**! im an aus post driver and i can swear on my life that when they give a 3wk delivery time frame, it is not in australia. no freight company in this country takes 3wks between major city/towns. i love how different sellers all from "Botany, NSW" are all selling the exact same **bleep**, with the exact same pics, description and price point..
but ebay seems to support them more than the consumers. cant even search inside australia, ebay allows china to be included in aus searches. whats the effing use of having a feature if you're going to manipulate the outcome.
You may be an Australia Post driver but if you think that items cannot and do not take 3 weeks to be delivered in Australia you are sadly mistaken. Items often fall into black holes and go round and round in circles before delivery by Australia Post.
Nobody said the sellers were in Botany NSW...just that Asian sellers have stock in Botany warehouses and the items are sent out with Australia Post. The logistics warehouses are often as slow as if the items were coming from China or Hong Kong but the sellers are not lying.
My authority for this information?....I was an AaE contractor during my working life, my OH is a StarTrack subbie, and my daughter works for an international logistics company in Botany NSW!!!!!

A lot of items take at least two weeks to arrive because the Chinese leg of the journey is not shown with the ubi/auspost partnership tracking number.
All you see is ...
"Shipping information approved by Australia Post
Shipping information received by Australia Post"
....For a number of days until it arrives from China.
I have a parcel box which a couple of times has given me a tracking number which shows
the chinese part of the journey on parcel tracker websites.
Ubi parcel can be quick but why the deception.
In some cases I don't want the added possible delay of international post and I could also buy it cheaper myself directly from China.
The Chinese sellers just pretend ubi parcel distribution warehouses in each state means they have local stock and they are an Aus based seller.
Yeah...sure.
Con job that Ebay participates in.

No matter what the seller says, you can check where the item is likely to come from by looking at where the seller is registered....if it is China/Hong Kong/ Malaysia etc you can be pretty sure that is where the item will come from.
I've been caught a couple of times.....listings that scream China have actually been in Australia as the seller states. One order placed on Sunday night was delivered at 7.30am on Monday. Another order (in the early days of corona lockdown) was delivered in 11 days from within Australia.
Why did you feel the need to drag up an old thread.....you have not added anything of value to the discussion.
