After years of not using eBay, I finally took the plunge and bought a bag I'd been eyeing.
The bag was described as large, however arrived with a receipt from the original retailer with the seller's name and address listing it as 'small'. The price difference is several hundred dollars and it doesn't fit what I wanted it for.
So, I raised this with the buyer who ended up escalating to eBay, saying also that she had sent me photos before my bid. I hadn't made contact with her at all beforehand.
After 3 weeks or so, I got an email from eBay that they had sided with the buyer and found the bag to be as described.
I called eBay that day and an agent told me to expect contact from the relevant team within 48 hours. 3 days ago, I emailed again and still no response from either.
Tomorrow it will be the last day to appeal. Do I hit the appeal button and describe as above, linking to a scan of the receipt, or is there another way to go about it?
Thanks
Michael

I could be wrong here but my reading of it is that the measurements given in the listing will probably turn out to be accurate, but the seller listed it as the large tote whereas it is actually the small tote.
The first thing the buyer should have done is measure that bag to see if it conformed to the listed measurements.

You hadn't measured the bag for the original case?
Measurements in description:
MEASUREMENTS: DEPTH : 6.2 INCHES
HEIGHT : 12.9 INCHES
WIDTH : 10.9 INCHES
Measurements for a Small Emile Tote - Alexander Wang

Just curious as to why you would leave a $600 bag in your office instead of taking it home ?
