Item not recieved and Ebay very unsupportive

anyone have issues previously when sending an item(s) back to the seller after deemed faulty?  The item has gone through customs and is sitting in the local post office.  Deadline for the refund has past>

 

Ebay have offered no support and told me there is nothing I can do.  I have to suck it up.  $500 down the drain!?? 

 

very disapppointed in EBAY but want to know if the community can offer any suggestions

There are a lot of dishonest buyers out there too who are just waiting to rip off the sellers.

 

Paypal actually does provide good protection if you use it correctly and follow the rules.

There is no need for the buyer to be out of pocket when returning goods....if they follow the rules.

 

What do you expect the ACCC to do?  In individual cases they may have some influence but how do you expect then to overhaul the whole ebay system?
