Item sent to wrong address

I have been trying to contact eBay about a purchase sent to an old address. I was sent an email confirming the purchase but when I tried to track package it goes to Pay Pal. I only have one account and I have never used guest. In the last year I have made several purchases and they were all sent to the correct address. Also this purchase does not appear in my search history.  Apparently eBay doesn't care about their customers.

This is a copy of the email.

Item sent to wrong address

Have you tried asking on the forum for eBay USA since that is where you are registered?

How did the seller get an old address if you did not provide it?

Did the purchase show it was going to the correct address when you were paying?

Other members cannot see anything by the order ID

Have you communicated with the seller?

Sellers can only send to the address provided by the buyer, so not exactly sure what you are expecting eBay to do when they neither sell anything or deliver anything

You are on the Australian Board.  The address comes up every time you buy something, it pays to check that it is correct before completing the order.  At least that is what happens in Australia. I would think that it is a scam from a fake ebay website, however that does not explain how they would get your old address. Very odd order number compared to the ones we have.
