Well 99% of buyers do mark their items as sent. That's from my experience anyway.
So if 99% of BUYERS are marking their items as sent, what is stopping you doing the same?
If that is all it takes to make you happy then it is an easy fix.....you can mark things as sent as soon as you pay.

I think most of us are over Michelle's panic posts....at least until she comes up with something original but that seems unlikely. She has already exhausted most scenarios where things can go wrong.

I bought an item from a US seller. As they had not shipped after a few days I queried them and their reply was "the item has been sent to the GSP and then you will get a tracking number". I thought that was a bit odd. Also the item is not marked as "sent". Do you think its on its way or should I be getting worried. I have messaged them back but no reply.

@k1ooo
It was on Monday I did order and 1st time I have bought from this seller. It was a food item that I bought.I have messaged them 3 times and have received 1 reply. And a Happy New Year to you too.
thanks for the extra info michelle.
There is a chance that the seller only saw your order on Tuesday our time (due to time difference between USA and Australia). That means that it might only have been less than three days . . . . . . so it is too early to start worrying, especially since the seller has said they have posted the item.
The area where I see a potential problem is with the GSP/Pitney Bowes deciding that the particular food item you have bought can not be sent to Australia. Having bought the same food item from USA sellers in the past would count for nothing with PB as they make their own rules and you would be wasting your time arguing with them if they decide not to forward the item.
I wouldn’t be messaging the seller again as it is far too early in the transaction to be sending a 4th message.

Hi Michelle. Happy new year! I hope this year sees you having no stressful buying experiences! Oh wait.....
I agree with K, there's a 99.9% chance that Global Shipping won't let your items through. I know this because I had it happen several years back with a food item. The infuriating thing is, they don't tell you they aren't sending it. It's only when it doesn't arrive after X weeks that you contact them and they tell you it wasn't sent because it was a biohazard.
The other infuriating thing was I couldn't get a refund from the seller. The seller had fulfilled their obligation. As the first tracking number sending it to Kentucky said delivered, I lost the dispute. Even when I disputed it with eBay, I lost. PayPal didn't want to know either. Thankfully the item was pretty cheap, but the postage was up there around $20.

I was wondering how long it would take for 2018 problems
