I have been using eBay for years but since Covid the Customer service is almost nil. Consequently I avoid it like the plague and only use it when desperate. There is literally no help with difficult sellers who are taking advantage. Ebay if your wondering why your business is decaying, look at the sellers many of whom are appalling. Look inside YOUR lack of buyer support which is literally awful. It's getting very hard to find good sellers on eBay now..... think I will stick to Amazon who may be costly but is much better. I can't even talk to anyone anymore!!!! I am disgusted.. very cheesed off buyer in NSW

Isn’t it good, though, that there are knowledgeable eBay users responding on these boards, giving useful advice on how to handle some of the situations that crop up?
@industrialsurplusandsalesptyltd, that’s one of the eBay black holes; it’s disgusting to see fraudulent buyers getting away with false claims and the seller potentially being out of pocket. At least you were able to resolve it, but I agree that there should be an easier way in such situations.

@nicqtaro wrote:Agree, besides their poor and unfair judgement eBay makes you run around its site before you can chat with an agent , they don't even have a customer service manager grade to handle complaints. The agents act like an AI , type out preset sentences and company policies....super poor customer service!!!!
AS a buyer why would you need to contact eBay?
The eBay Money back Guarantee is super easy to use... as you said it's "not rocket science."
Btw I do not believe that you have read ""every post from this year."

what question is that? "As a buyer why would you need to contact ebay"
which is similar of asking the following
As a home buyer, why would you need to contact a real estate agent, a conveyancing solicitors
As a bank customer, why do you need to contact a bank customer service staff
As a normal human being, why would you see a doctor
The ebay forum appears to be dominated by a small group of highly loyal ebay fans,
You are right , I did not read evey post from those "group" this year, I feel asleep reading them and as it is a total waste of time - basically unhelpful , biased and non constructive suggestions, I have read many of them but they are basically saying the same thing again and again telling member to read the ebay rule and
EMBG (with a harsh tone) and failed to provide any constructive suggestions. Please simply cut and paste the EMBG or provide a link of the Ebay rules in the post to save you time.

I am sorry to tell you that your assumption above "Personal opinion does not help anyone get their money back" is WRONG !!
I have successfully and swiftly got back my full refund from paypal withing their 180 window.
One thing I do agree with you is that I have better things to do instead of wasting time of trolling the forum, reading redundant content given by a small group of highly loyal ebay supporters who basically repeating the same points over and over - blaming members for not reading the ebay T&C carefully , it might be more efficient and beneficial to simply cut and paste the company rules or provide the EMBG link for members to reference.
I see people post "facts than personal opinion" in an empathetic, compassionate and understanding tone while others would give opinion in a harsh, know- it -all and belittling tone, even it that's not the intention. I hope one can show a bit more kindness and consideration to create a more positive and supportive environment for everyone in the forum.
