Most suitable TV to surf the net

I want to purchase a 42" TV but I want one that is the best suited for surfing the net. Could someone make some suggestions? I also understand that it may not be necessary to get a "smart" TV as a box can be purchased for around $100 which can convert a standard HD TV into a smart TV. Could I get some feedback?

Re: Most suitable TV to surf the net

I have no idea what the service is like here but in the UK I find I rarely use either of my TVs, one a smart set and another with a box, to access the internet. I find it very slow, very clunky and frustrating in the extreme. I would buy a cheaper TV and get a netbook or even a tablet, if you do not want a full sized laptop.

Or even, gosh, horror, a proper computer. What a thought!

and red computers go really fast!

plus you can connect just about any sized screen that you want to them. I've got 4 x 26" flat screen monitors hooked up to mine atm.

You would probably be better off googling for some reviews of specific products, and/or for pre-existing forum threads where people who find these things useful have (or will) share their knowledge and experience.

This should get you started ๐Ÿ˜‰
