How good is this process?
Shoes were authenticated.
Listed as size US 11 in both the title and the description and the box had size US 11 on it.
The authentication people are so good they did not notice size US 10 shoes in a size US 11 box.
Sure they are authentic but where is their attention to detail?

Wear them for a while and they will fit, in my experience.
Bought a pair of NB a size smaller than my feet. Wearing them for a few months miraculously made them fit my feet.

They are supposed to verify that the item matches the listing as well ensure it is genuine.
Not sure what records of verification are kept.
Not sure if you can claim INAD, you should be able to. The seller has met their obligations to ebay by having the item shipped for authentication and passed. So the seller should not be affected by any subsequent claim

I agree, I think it is well worth the buyer opening a claim. This should be one of the easy ones as photos could definitely verify the wrong size was sent.
It's just a personal opinion but if shoes don't fit, I would never buy, hoping that they would stretch. They may, or they may never be comfortable. I presume these were expensive so I'd be wanting the size I ordered or money back.

Sports shoes are made from synthetic materials. Unlike leather, they can stretch a fair bit.
As I said, my experience only.

It's not that I don't believe you. I know some shoes and some materials can stretch a bit.
It is more (for me) about the buyer receiving exactly what they ordered.

Seeing they have to be over $150 to qualify for authentication, I would want the correct size too.
