No sign of a refund

Purchased a electric fence energiser fron <Removed> a year ago,  returned it as it was faulty after 3 mths . They said they could not fixit and was sending me a refund. I am still waiting???????  Neither<Removed> or EBAY have been helpful.

eBay's guarantee is good for 32 days or so after delivery. So they cannot and will not help. Paypal is 180 days, so ditto.

If the seller is a registered Australian business, you can try pursuing them through fair trading or small claims. I wouldn't have let it go for 9 months after there was a problem, personally.

You have no chance of getting any help from ebay or paypal after a year.....you had very little chance of any help after 3 months either.  The ebay dispute is only available for a month or so and the paypal dispute is supposed to cover the item as it was when delivered.

If it was OK when delivered then you would have had little chance of a refund after 3 months.

If you had followed it up with the seller when they first offered the refund you might have had some hope of seeing your money but 9 months later is a bit of a stretch.

The OP might have been able to get the buyer's phone number after 3 months but not after a year.

I am pretty sure that the ebay message system does not allow you to reply to messages after 60 days as they consider the transaction to be finalised.   Obviously the same time limit would be applied to any other form of contact.
