OO out of stock, how long is reasonable time for a refund?

Received email from seller , stated item is out of stock and will be issued with a full refund, but I am still waiting for it. The seller is a pro seller (OO) and has a promotion running, is there any way to get my money back quicker? I have emailed seller and explained that I need the funds to buy similar laptop, but no reply. Any help? Thanks

Well, so I wont buy again, just wait for my money back , I was hoping, once refunded, would buy similar in stock item.

I did buy from OO before with no drama, that's why I buy again and also the OO offer quite good, after I missed on ebay celebrate 2015 offer .

Now , I would miss both offer.... but anyway , thanks all..

As the payment was funded with a credit card the payment will go back to the card, not your paypal account.....probably not till early next week.

Have you checked your paypal account to see if the seller has actioned the refund.....the transaction will show as being reversed.

Up to now, still no refund in to my paypal account, I am sure paypal would tell me, if payment refunded

I received a refund from a seller in November and was so quick , same day.  This time with this seller, I am sooo frustrated . I  need the fund to buy similar item with the 20% off offer,  but as davewil said, OO will do the same with my next purchase, so I am start looking again or place my bid with different seller.

You've already said you paid by credit card.

Payment  was with Credit card via paypal.

Checked with netbank, no refund too

Your bank would not know if a refund had been actioned, not until it clears Paypal's bank and then is sent to your card provider. the refund will then start being processed onto your card and when that clears it will show as being a refund in your card account.

As the seller knows they have no stock they should have started the refund process straight away, that should show in Paypal as pending. If it doesn't open a Paypal not received dispute and email the seller and tell them if they do not refund within 24 hours you will contact your bank and ask them to do a chargeback which will incur extra charges for the seller.

In this case there is no excuse for any delay in issuing a refund, they should have done it as soon as they discovered they were out of stock and then emailed you to say sorry and that they had already issued the refund.

We are getting a little frustrated too........the refund will not go to your paypal account.   It will go back to your credit card account and will take a few days to show.

Some paypal notifications have been taking a few days to arrive so don't rely on that to tell you that you have a refund.

As you have already been told......go into your paypal account and look at the status of the transaction there.   That will tell you whether the seller has actioned the refund or not.

They may have meant the payment status in PayPal is unchanged, i.e. not showing as refunded

This is just a guess, but if it's showing (as mentioned by the OP) that a request can be opened after a specific date, then the refund hasn't been actioned as of yet, just because I'd also think there's no option to open a request on a fully refunded item (well, I would hope there isn't, anyway).

Yep, no change in my paypal , no change in my ebay order , no refund thingy on $ sign. 

So as davewil said, OO will do the same with my next purchase, so I am start looking again or place my bid with different seller.
