to be honest, he probably thinks you are just a busy body sticking your nose in places where it does not belong, hence the terse reply you got.
Are you able to cut and paste the exact text of your message to him? The reason I ask this is that it might help us better understand the whole situation.

k1ooo maybe so but it's no excuse to use the profanity he used. When you're quite clearly out to rip people off (and not talking small scale when passing off a $25 fake for $1000) then I think it's fair to say someone will call you on it. There were several discussing its fakeness on several other item specific forums.
there is never any excuse for abusive messages, they would have done better to ignore than respond that way.
I am still curious to read exactly what you messaged them.
Also, did you stumble across the listing and decide to ask about the authenticity . . . . or were you guided there by information gleaned in other forums regarding the authenticity of the seller's item/s?
I do think knowing the exact words in your message will enrich this thread. It may also shed light on your motivation.

Had an unhappy buyer send an abusive message on the weekend; opened a Help request with CS, have heard back from them - they're taking action against his account, and will remove the promised negative feedback if it's similarly abusive.
$10 item, $5 post. People need to get a life, or have someone repair the defective one they currently have...

I did that a while back in another thread, and it got deleted - apparently, pasting in text from eBay messages violates a board policy.

It does violate board policy and I'm surprised that someone should ask
for it to be posted.

but, then again, it depends on whether a question asked of a seller is considered as:

I'd say the mods think it does.
