Hi All, We are seeking help from the community.
We have placed an order with ebay (the seller ) for two lots of Table tennis balls some five months ago. They have been saying all sorts of excuses and that they will deliver every time we enquire. This occurred a several times and we therefore asked for a refund and now the seller is not even responding. We also requested ebay to intervene to get our money back.
We are very very disappointed that ebay has not only not helping to contact the seller on our behalf, they continue to provide a platform for this type of sellers who are free to cheat their customers like us to collect our hard earn money. We want to know who else had trouble with this seller or similar as this has to be exposed and there has to be rules around this type of matters.
I intend to discuss this in every social media platform until ebay does the right thing by intervening to resolve our issue. We made the payment to ebay trusting their brand, not some unknown seller. Thanks for any tips.

@countess - the OP was advised to do this since they started their thread on the 13th.
All they've done is continue to blame Ebay, even when given good advice on how to get their money back.
None of us have any idea why they are so stubborn about it.

I can see the repeated advice to the OP to do exactly that, jellybirddesigns. Good advice has been given...
I suppose I was hoping that the big font size and bright font colour might make a difference...!

Some buyers take the advice on board and get a good result.
Others simply refuse to do so, which makes me wonder why they bother coming here in the first place.
Only so much we can do, unfortunately.

I don't believe the OP even opened a case with ebay - just did the back and forth thing
ad infinitum with CS and the seller.

I suspect by the time they tried to open an ebay claim, the 30 days was up. That would explain why ebay refused any help.
As you say, we might be able to give advice but it is up to the person to follow through, we can't do it for them.

Desilpushp, you said you needed help from the forum. You've been given it. Paypal.
You say you're on a mission to 'educate' people not to use ebay. You're not going to succeed. For instance, this is only a little backwater forum with only a limited number of people on it and most of them know exactly how ebay operates.
Even if you went onto a TV current affairs program to push your message, the first questions an interviewer would ask would be
-When your items didn't arrive, did you look up the terms and conditions for an ebay refund?
- Okay, you were messed around by the seller and missed your 30 day deadline, why didn't you claim with paypal?
You'd come out of it with egg on your face.
Really, the best revenge isn't in trying to drag a big business like ebay down, it would be in getting your money back from a bad seller. When sellers have to face real consequences (likie refunding item price plus postage) with buyers making claims if they don't do the right thing, then it makes sellers either up their game or leave ebay.

Ebay does offer tools to get your money back, but there are rules and deadlines.
Maybe when new people join, they should send them an automatic email explaining how MBG works (maybe they do, I don't know - there was no MBG when I joined).
So many people miss out on getting their money back back because they let too much time elapse before they try to open a case. Some even miss out on PP's deadline, which is 180 days since the date of purchase...
