Paid for pick up item but seller not responding and re list the same item for sale 3 times

Hi all, 

I have paid for a "used iMac" over the weekend & have attempted to contact the seller ever since.

Today is the 4th day & the seller still have not response to my request for arrangement to pick up the item since it's listed as "local pick up only"

In the mean time, he has re listed the same item 3 times. At this point I have lost my trust in this seller. Who would have 3 used iMac? even if they do why the only list 1 at a time & keep re listing the item after someone have bought it?

Also, since this is a local pick up. why ebay forcing me to wait for a week before I can open a dispute?

Any recommendation on this case?

The only issue with this point was that the item listed originally with 1.

I made an offer & he accepted it 

Then he listed it again & someone bought it out right

Then he listed it again.

I understand if it was a new item but again who would have 3 old iMac waiting to be sold?

And if he could made the effort to re list the item why ignore all of my email?

just contact ebay if you have not had comunication with the seller ,then how can anybody say you have pick it up without knowing the address of the seller,   that is the proof you have not got it ,

Provided the seller doesn't respond to the PayPal case with it was pick up, you should get your money back.

The seller probably got scared witless when you paid with Paypal knowing they would have no protection against a chargeback if you had used a credit card, which you did.  As that was the case the sensible thing for the seller to do was refund your payment and ask you to pay cash as neither of you had any protection through ebay or Paypal.

Had you not used a credit card you would have been scuppered as you would have absolutely no protection. Even if you reported to everyone and his brother you could not prove that you did not collect the item.

what are you talking about , hehas not being in touch with the seller how can he pick it up ,  

i have 1000s of pick ups a year and aprox 40 % paypal , its normal and i have never had a problem , in fact we have had some who want to pay cash after the have paypalled , because they forgot , i have people paypal and dont pick up for months, its no big deal , and these are first timers with me... the seller can not say to ebay the buyer picked up as there has not been any messages from seller to buyer as to were to pick it up from , mmmm

Ever heard of emails? Telephones? Given eBay won't allow those to be sent through the message system...

Just because you haven't had any problems, doesn't mean they don't occur. Like sellers hanging on to Paypal payments for months instead of refunding.

the buyer has stated cant get in touch with the seller the buyer can prove he has had no emails telephone calls or what ,   i think the buyer is making a fuss too early ,some times for what ever reason the seller has not contacted the buyer , if you look at the sellers selling page ,there nothing wrong with his add , it does not say you must pay first , 

look when buying a labtop of course you should not pay until you at least see it , but the buyer is used to paying because most things are sent thru courier or postage , and thats why 40% of my sales are paypalled even though 99% are pick us.

its only the 4 th day he could be in hospital or sick or anything , i think giving the seller a red card is a bit early , at least wait a week ,

how van this seller be a scammer ,he is offering pick up and pay ,when you can see the product use the product check the product. if he was a scammer why does he not deliver it and after he gets paid send the buyer a pack of paper instead of the computer ,mmmm

to vnth go to ebay and ask for the sellers phone number for a start,  also there are plenty of reasons why somebody would have 3 of the same computers , they could be from a business , when they up grade at once , , now the part about why sell them 1 at a time , well you are not allowed to list the same product more than once at a time. you can put them all in 1 listing ,but would get a better price 1 at a time prob.

let us know what happens in the next few days .

you should have no problems getting your laptop or money back as you cant of picked up as you dont know where to go ,you have proof with your ebay messages and your email address.
