I do my daily searches early morning in various categories, last couple of days this intrusion by eBay has interrupted my searching multiple times daily, how can I get rid of it, it is making my searching intolerable
here is the page that constantly appears to interrupt searching
Pardon our interruption...
As you were browsing eBay, something about your browser made us think you were a bot. There are a few reasons this might happen:
anybody know how to delete this annoyance permanently?
HELP needed please.......... ferrobilt

The error is due to a third-party service called Distil that eBay and other sites use to prevent bots from scraping content. Apparently something has changed recently, as seemingly innocent bookmarked pages of categories are triggering the error message.
See here for the latest details on the US ebay.com discussion boards:
Try altering the way you search or browse to get around the error; it seems to occur for me when browsing a category and using a country-specific Item Location filter.

thanks for that link, it seems I am not alone, been searching the same way for all my ebay tenure (16+ years) I use a Chromebook, so multiple O/S not really an option, will just keep posting my complaints on ebay forums and on twitter daily, see if they eventually respond
all the best

Ebay doesn't even read the boards, let alone respond to any questions so no point in posting the same thing over and over.
I have no idea about Twitter but why would ebay respond there if they don't respond on their own boards.

Someone else commented on a different issue late last year
That if they say the same thing often enough, eBay will 'have' to read it sooner or later
I'm not sure how they work that one out
And duplicate threads are deleted by forum mods anyway (who neither work for eBay nor tell eBay about the amount of complaints)
eBay do not read anything members post here. The most they do is post something now and then bragging about how wonderful they are to buyers and sellers
The block members from commenting on those
That's how much attention they pay to members

oh well, will just keep plugging away, and search for some way to block the offending intrusion
all the best to everyone

I'm getting some replies from others on twitter, will keep at that daily for as long as it takes

I've had 3 days of searching ebay listings and lists without intrusion by that insidious interuption, could it have been my posts on twitter? who knows, but something is working, if anyone else is still having their searches abruptly stopped, then post an image with comment to the 3 twitter handles, it just might help, be curteous but firm
good luck everyone
