I am having problems with Paypal. I tried to buy something but was blocked at the paypal checkou.t It basically is demanding that I change my valid shipping address which is a Post Office box to a street address. I do not want to do this as all of my bank statements and mail always goes to my post office address. I live in apartments and for security reasons no mail gets delivered there. Any suggestions?

thanks for your imput.
recently it had happened with another seller in the US but there is a link in the checkout that allows a buyer to CONTACT a seller for an EXEMPTION. However I could not click on the shaded link to do so this time around...............maybe I could ask the seller if they have personally decided that they won't deliver to PO boxes or it is Paypal interfering again....

couldn't agree more - they seem to be getting very cocky these days...........

Then the seller is telling fibs.....it is nothing to do with ebay or paypal.
But the fact that the seller is in the USA explains it all. Over there a PO box is a roadside box which is not a safe delivery address and sellers are wary of sending to them
They do not understand that it is different in Australia and just lump all PO boxes in together and refuse to send to them.
I very much doubt that you will change the seller's mind so just give in and give a street address if you want your item.

in the USA, PO Boxes aren't exactly the same as they are in Australia. Many USA sellers do not trust USA PO Boxes, and if they have default listing settings regarding PO Boxes they may not realise that these settings affect international sales where their buyers have a PO Box.
You could ask that the seller send you an invoice through PayPal. That may work.

It's a bit old hat. Maybe Paypal should change the rules.
Paypal has nothing to do with it. It is the seller who decides his delivery policy....where he will deliver and how he will deliver.
Don't blame paypal for everthing whether it is their fault or not.
