Please get rid of the new mouse over image feature - slow and inconvenient

Please get rid of the new mouse over image feature - slow and inconvenient when wishing to browse pages.

It is a back ward step like many Microsoft application improvements.

New features are not always good for the users.

I am running cable internet connection with a brand new PC,16G memory, Flash drive, fully loaded graphics card..

This new feature is a dog!

They've had this on the US site for a while. It's not too bad aslong as your screen is big enough to be able to see the whole image when zooming. Just give it a few seconds to load at the start before clicking.

I don't mind it.  I'd already found it useful on the US site when checking the condition of vintage items.  Sometimes those really close up images are necessary to stop you making a really costly mistake, because some sellers will describe an item as mint when it is no such thing.

I reckon most do. There seems to be an unspoken about rule that if an item is close to mint, you can call it mint. If it's got a few scratches, still mint. If it's got more than a few scratches/wear, it's excellent/near mint. Buyers seem to accept this grading... which is a little worrying. Close-up photos of anything can really help make your own mind up regardless of the description.

I like it too. You don't have to use it if you don't want to.

Hi Soosonfay,

Just a tip , check your resolution on your vid card and monitor is set high.

I never liked it at first but now I actually do like it i find it quite handy for looking at stuff im interested in to see if there are any flaws in the item. You do get use to it after a while.

If its slowing your system you need to do a few checks as its not the feature causing it its more than likely your hardware (video card or and drivers of it). Make sure you are using the latest drivers and resolution is set right. You can even change resolution down to see if you get an improvement in speed which if it does will show you do have a hardware problem.

Put your resolution to its highest you can then see if it gets slower.

Then put your resolution to its lowest, and if speed and performance with this feature improves noticably I would be looking at your video card and drivers.

If this does not help try this,  go to your task manager and under processes select any of the programs running that your not using and turn them off, This will improve performance even if its not the problem as most people have way to many programs running in the back ground.

Other than that just give it some time Im sure you will see there is a benifit to it especially when buying.

Good luck.
