I'm trying to open a dispute for an item significantly not as described. I keep getting an internal server error from Paypal - and can't open the dispute. Any ideas? Thank you.

It is Friday which is maintenance day - so that may be a factor. Try again tomorrow.
Or - how long ago did you purchase and pay for the item, if it is over 45 days, you can not open a paypal dispute as you have left too long. If you funded the payment by credit card you may be able to get a chargeback, to do so, you need to contact your credit provider.

Good luck, if you still can't get it done, call paypal, they are usually very helpful and you don't normally have to wait long. Pretty sure they have 24/7 contact avaiable.
Just an after thought, have you managed to contact the seller? they may resolve without the need for a dispute.
