I purchased a model train set for my son for his birthday. The package arrived on august 1st and it's not what I ordered at all not even close. I contacted the seller who said I had to do a return via eBay so I did that the seller sent me return label but here is where it gets tricky so the seller used a courier called DHL and that courier is not located in my town it's closest depot is over 4 hours away in another town. Unfortunately due to an impairment I am unable to drive to take the package to the DHL depot. I contacted eBay who palmed me of to the international. Shipping team to ensured they would be I touch. Nobody has been I. Touch with me at all I have called eBay everyday and everyday it gets escelted to the international shipping team and they don't get back to me I requested for a supervisor to call me and that was 6 days ago and I've not gotten any call back. I'm kinda stressing out because I have u till the 15th to send the item back or I lose my refund this cost me $400 I am trying to get it sent back I do not want it at all it's not what I ordered the seller now no longer responds to me and I'm not getting anywhere with customer service or the FB messenger chat. I don't know what to do. Can anyone tell me how I can get some help? Is there a complaints team I can contact or do I just file a dispute on the transaction with my bank? eBay customer service is the worst customer service team I've ever dealt with from any company

If you don’t post it back, the case will close and you won’t be refunded.
Unfortunately, your impairment won’t give you any leeway. I strongly suggest you ask a family member or friend to drive you there and back - or organise an Uber.

"I contacted the seller who said I had to do a return via eBay so I did that"
So have you opened an "item not as described" claim through eBay's Money Back Guarantee ?
What is the item number ?

Is it possible to address it and send it via Aust Post to the Courier (DHL) - you would have proof of sending with tracking. ??

" it's closest depot is over 4 hours away "
Is that the main depot ?
There are many, many drop off locations, DHL Service Points , apart from the main depot.
Using your postcode and suburb , have you searched for your nearest DHL Service Point drop off location ?

I'll lay London to a brick on that the OP has not opened an INAD Case.
Had they done so eBay would have taken care of this return.
The US based seller ships with EIS.
The item# is easily found.

May I ask why you are contacting eBay/Phoning eBay/messing around?
All you need to do is open and follow through with an item not as described dispute
No point making a complaint if you have not done the one and only thing you need to do
A charge back with your bank is the last resort, so if you do that first, you don't have other options
You have wasted a lot of time already and won't get anywhere if you don't follow the proper process
