I had to return an item that wasn't as described
Since US seller did not have postage return label, eBay asked me to pay for postage from Australia, send them the receipt for the postage and I can expect this postage refund in 2-3 weeks
4 weeks later, it's still pending eBay's Finance processes and I have to just wait... and wait with no ETA on when I can expect the refund now
Apparently the eBay customer care agent has expedited for me (twice) and eBay Finance Team is just not responding
Anyone else experienced this poor level of service?
I've had to follow up 4-5 times now and it's just so time consuming

It's difficult, if not impossible, to get a refund for postage when returning an item overseas. Keep hounding eBay to death and they might give you a refund out of their own pocket.

Did you arrange with the seller that they had agreed to refund you the cost of shipping?
I would say it would be very hard to get the seller to pay anything if there's nothing in writing.
The Ebay return system is pretty abominable.

Went through this a month or so ago. Waited waited and finally said if they did not refund I would get the FIO onto them - refunded in 24hrs !
