Refusing refund on returned item

Hi all,

hoping for some assistance, bought item, received wrong size, returned it before the cut off date but eBay not recognising the return and refusing refund. Have provided eBay tracking, proof of postage.

Supplier has been helpful, advised eBay said they would handle the refund and although I have confirmed receipt of package returned to eBay shipping central eBay have closed the case, refusing to consult further. Supplier has not received item back, currently sitting in warehouse in Virginia!

Have requested refund or items to be sent back to me at minimum. Am about $500 out of pocket and extremely disappointed in the service.

Sorry your  post has been overlooked.

"eBay have closed the case"

A case can be appealed but only if you have the grounds to do so.

You'll need to give more details.

When a buyer opens an "item not as described" case, the seller has to pay for return postage.

In Australia, the seller can issue a return label to the buyer  for tracked postage .

It's not possible for a seller in the US to issue a label to an Australian buyer.

What usually happens is that the buyer wins the  case, is refunded, and if the seller wants the item returned, alternate  payment arrangements for shipping  have to be made.

You said  the supplier has been helpful and advised you that eBay would handle the refund ! ??

Who gave you the address to return the item  ?   Did you pay for the return ?

What details are shown in the dispute ?  Did it time out ?

What is the item number ?
