Return pouch sent in wrong address

eBay sent me a message that they sent a return pouch which I think it was sent to a old address.

I entered the most current address with the recent purchase, which I am returning.

eBay automatically sent with the old address so I still haven't received the returning pouch after 2 weeks.

Return pouch sent in wrong address

What is a "return pouch"?

Why are you returning this item?

It is up to you to have your address details correctly updated.

Does this have anything to do with the seller who last left you feedback ?

The seller with appalling feedback. ?

Do you want to return an item because you've changed your mind ?

Or did you receive something that was not as described ?

Did the seller tell you they'd send you something (a pouch?)  to return the item in ?

If it was that seller, no doubt they lied.

If you've received something that's not as described and it's within 30 days of receiving it,

you need to open an 'item not as described' claim through eBay's Money Back Guarantee

https://www.ebay.com.au/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee-pol...

The seller will need to provide you with a return label for tracked return  postage within 3 days.

If they don't, you can ask eBay to step in.

Return pouch sent in wrong address

I have never heard of eBay ever sending anyone a return pouch (not even sure that a return pouch is a thing????)

Are you sure it was not a dodgy seller sending the message?

Especially when you buy from dodgy sellers. who are likely to tell you nonsense to get out of refunding

eBay sending a pouch, not how it works

Don't waste any more time if you need to open dispute, do it and follow the correct process to be covered

Or was it a change of mind return?

I think you're right. I suspect the seller (not ebay itself) has sent a message saying they will post out one of those pre paidm plastic postage bags for the return.

Youch, what is making you assume it went to an old address?

Double check all your details in ebay are current and correct.

Then immediately open a proper ebay claim for an item not as described (if in fact you are trying to return because the item is faulty). I am assuming that must be the reason as for a change of mind return, usually the buyer would have to pay that and no seller would be messaging that they sent a free return postal bag?

But in any case, stop messaging the seller, you don't need to go through them, go through ebay and the seller would need to provide a label, which you would get electronically and have to print. But it would cover you for postage and you'd get a full refund.

Make your claim asap as you only get 30 days after receipt of the item, so time is running short.

The seller may be trying  with detalying tactics, hoping your 30 days will expire before you realise you need to make a proper claim.
