So here is the latest 'SCAM' many Chinese sellers are now using in their listings to convince you to buy from them as their stock is supposedly located in Australia and you will get the goods quicker.
'AU STOCK' is big and bold in their listing heading.
In fact the item is in China and they use a re-fullfilment service called Equick.cn who consolidate many sellers parcels on a daily basis and ship them to Sydney. Equick then despatch them using Australia Post from their warehouse in Botany.
Around 4-5 days after you make your purchase you finally receive the tracking advice from Australia Post, which makes you think the items are in Australia, but in fact they have not even left China. Around 10-14 days later you finally receive the goods.
This activity is clearly misleading and a breach of eBay's 'misrepresenting item location' rules and needs to be stopped.

You are completely wasting your time....UBI is a logistics company....the company tasked with delivering your items. It is NOT the seller.
If you did not get what as advertised why did you not open a dispute for Item Not As Described and get your money back?

This is incredibly frustrating from a buyers perspective too! My hubby is always buying from ebay and keeps getting conned into believing the seller is in Australia.
It's about bloody time eBay did something about it!

How is he being conned when it shows where the seller is registered before buying?
A buyer just needs to look and they will know instantly if the seller is in Australia or not
Item location (which the seller can put as anywhere) does not mean the seller is in Australia
Plus the feedback will give a clear indication if the seller has a habit of lying about where they send items from
eBay are not going to do anything
BUT buyers can stop buying from these sellers and supporting them time after time

Get your husband to check the seller's feedback which will show where the seller is registered, if it's in China then that's where the goods are likely to be coming from...........easy.
Edit. G'day Sandy, on the ball today huh..............

They can be registered here and still drop ship from China, claiming all along that's it's being sent from an Australian location.
I got an automotive part the other day from a registered seller in the USA only to find out a few days later that it was being sent from India, which then raised concerns about the metal integrity of the part.
Years ago I bought a faulty product from an "Australian" registered seller who eventually after 4 weeks shipped it from Sydney. When I tried to return it the seller claimed I needed to send it back to China if I wanted a refund because that's where it came from. Luckily I still had the proof of postage location label that came on the package and got a refund. They didn't even want it back when I offered to send it to the location it was posted from.
Some sellers are nothing more that pathetic liars..employed by companies to be nothing more that pathetic liars..

ME TOO!
Yes I wondered why it was taking so so long to arrive when it states that it is in Brisbane where I am.
I had an inkling that it was actually coming from overseas and yes the return address CHULLORA PO BOX 6014 NSW 1405 is not stated anywhere.
It definitely is misrepresentation especially when the wrong colour is sent and now another fortnight plus to return and receive the right item.

What eBayers need to do is to go to the ACCC website and lodge a complaint, not against the seller but directly against eBay for allowing and facilitating it.
It is against Australian Consumer law to intentionally mislead a consumer and to intentionally misrepresent the location of goods.
These sellers are using 3rd part logistics out of Hong Kong who in turn use Australia Post as the "last mile carrier. The goods get bulk loaded on a plane and fly into Sydney and are then sorted and redistributed for final delivery at Chullora. The goods are never located at Chullora at time of purchase.
I have read several entries on the internet whereby eBay assisted in setting up this system several years ago so they are knowingly allowing it and facilitating it to boot.
The more people who complain to the ACCC online about eBay over this matter, the more likely it will get traction for the ACCC to investigate and take action against eBay, who in turn will be forced to take action on these sellers

Australia Post jumped on the 3PL band wagon along with every one else and are now the 'First mile' to 'Last mile' carrier in a joint venture. If you can't beat them - join them...
Sai Cheng Logistics is a one-stop supply chain solution provider jointly established by China Post and Australia Post.
