Search and manipulation

I complained to eBay about a seller, selling Susan linen pants under the banner of sportscraft.

The seller clearly said they were sportscraft but on the label of the pants said "Susan".

There's a big difference between the two.

However, eBay said that's fine, the seller wasn't violating eBay policy.

Re: Search and manipulation

I agree, eBay do not abide by their own rules when it comes to what the say is against policy Vs what eBay 'say' (often AI nowadays, but also human agents)

I have reported many things that are against policy, and blatantly so, but eBay says fine

Not something other members here have any control over

Re: Search and manipulation

Did you send the seller a quick message first to let them know they had made a mistake, or go straight to reporting the listing?

I'm pretty sure I found the listing in question and, given that the seller actually has some Sportscraft pants for sale, think they may have forgotten to change the brand when using sell similar, which shows a lack of attention to detail, but not an intention to deliberately mislead buyers.

Re: Search and manipulation

Yes', I told them when they sent me an offer on the item. It happens a lot on sportscraft.
