Seller REMOVED is a thief and eBay doing nothing about it!

This seller from south Korea is definitely a thief who has taken my money without delivering the order or refunding!!! More important is, eBay is allowing this kind of of activity.

I will never shop on this platform again, and trusting any thing from south Korea.

That’s your first port of call if something doesn’t arrive. 

Tell us the item number and when you purchased it.

Have you opened an INR?

Was that you that left them the neg feedback?   because otherwise their feedback actually looks ok.

How long ago did you order?  

Are you aware most deliveries are taking forever at the momen?

I had a look at their feedback and they don't seem to be a huge seller. They are showing a feedback score of 451 for 532 received but only one neg in the last 12 months. Score is 97.2%

I don't think they are necessarily a thief, they usually send out what a person buys but the past problems seem to be that the items can be slow to arrive, or not the quality a buyer was expecting and sometimes the seller is slow to make a refund.

You can make a claim against the seller on ebay. Go to the Help section of ebay and click on it and one of the first things you should see is 'Need help with your orders? -Get help with an item that did not arrive. Click it and then report an item that didn't arrive.

As long as you do this within 30 days of the expected arrival of the item, you should be able to claim a refund as the seller will not be able to prove it arrived. Don't finalise the claim till you get that refund, no matter what the seller says.

If you're too late for that, you may be able to claim from paypal if you paid that way.

My best guess is the seller has probably sent the item but I am not sure how reliable the post is from South Korea to here. If you do shop on ebay again it is probably best to try to stick to Australian based sellers at the moment.

If the purchase was made within 2 months you can also leave feedback but read up on policy as some things can't be said so be careful.

A shame you had a bad experience anch-8276. I've shopped on eBay for years with over 600 purchases. Only a handful were dodgy  one  from an Australian seller.   

Don't give up. You may find things go smoother with future purchases.

Ebay does offer buyers means to defend themselves, but there are rules and deadlines. 

The deadline for opening a case for INR on eBay is 30 days after the last day of the estimated delivery day, and 180 days since the date of purchase in PayPal (if you used it to pay).

If you open a case on eBay, the seller will have 4 days to respond. If he doesn't, you will have to escalate the case and ask eBay to step in. Ebay will NOT look at the case automatically. Some people forget to ask eBay to step in or they don't know they have to, and then their case is closed and they don't get their money back. I think you now have 21 days to ask eBay to step in if a seller does not respond to the case within 4 days.

What was the estimated delivery date?

When did you first contact the seller to make them aware it had not arrived?

When did you open the item not received dispute with eBay?

Did you follow that dispute through within the time limit?

Did you actually  do any of the above at all?

the seller said the delivery was not available from south korea due to COIVD19. and, I agreed to wait for the order until the service is back again, but asking the to keep me posted, but after almost 8 months. the seller didn't offer me any update or willing to refund. Clearly, this bad seller is taking the advantage of ebay policy and using my trust to earn my $300 us dollar without doing anything. By the way, this doggy seller used to blame myself and ebay!!!
