Seller ended item straight after answering simple questions so I couldn't bid!

I am so frustrated, I sat here waiting for this auction to finish!
Asked the guy a couple of questions, like how old was the air conditioner and was it still under warranty.. then I went to bid and he had ended the item while answering my question

He had $600 buy it now.
And $200 starting price.. so I suspect, he was disappointed someone was going to buy it for less than he expected..
I don't suppose there is anything I can do about this???

Cheers

Not really, many new sellers don't realize the BIN is not a reserve.

So could be a genuine error which means it was never for sale at that price anyway.

Oh well, always one in a bunch.

Could be a blessing in disguise, the unit may not be as described if he is shonky. Smiley Wink

I have occasionally found a flaw with a listing or item when checking it to answer questions, resulting in withdrawing it. Did he say why he cancelled?

Someone else could have messaged him as well, asking him to end the listing early so they got it.

Sellers do do that, saves having to wait around for a few days for it to end.

Could be a few different reasons why the seller pulled the listing while the OP was asking questions.

-Maybe the item was not as described

-Maybe there was a maistake in the listing

-Maybe the seller got a better offer

-Maybe the seller was a bit worried about some of the OP's fb left for others, saw a possible defect trap & thought it wasn't worth possible damage to his account.A couple of them would have me yelling "fire in the hole!" & running for the defect bunker.

I think the OP wanted to know if they could somehow punish the seller for ending the lsting.

The seller owns the item until sold, there was no money paid so there was no deal.

YES YOU CAN....

move on!

You have no case here. You did not bid, and you can not tell the seller what to do and how to do it!
Its his item, and if he wants to end the listing early while there are no bids on it, then that is his chioce!
