I recently purchase a coat that was supposed to be Size 18-20(AUST) wool blend. I got the coat no problem but the size was 14 and it has no wool I am sure. I used to work in textiles and I'm 100% sure it's not wool.
I gave a neutral feedback but wrote about the wrong size. Much of the neg & neutral feedback complaints are about size and quality. The seller wants to refund me $5.00 to change the feedback. They have now contacted me 4 times about it.

Hi OP, just had a quick look, the measurements are in the listing - and they are for a sz. 14AUS even though they call them XXL.
Size that you need doesn't even exist in China (haven't seen any ever) so it's no surprise that it doesn't fit.
You should have seen the measurements as they are well displayed.
And I don't even know if your seller would have a concept of what the size 18-20 should be as most likely they have never seen one.
Apologise for your oversight and revise their f/back if it means so much to them (God only knows why, but still, ) it would be the right thing to do in this case.
You'll no doubt disagree with me, and so will all the others who told you to report them, that you should have left a neg, etc. but I still can't see the fault on their part as the measurements reflect sz. 14 which you said it turned out to be.
To a Chinese, a sz. 14 might as well be 114 - they wouldn't know any better and onus would have been on you to look at them and you would have seen at once that it wasn't going to fit.
They have even mentioned at the bottom that the variance could be as much as 2cm - which is a lot - sometimes the only difference of a proper fit and no fit.
You can sell the coat, it's pretty - you'll not lose out.

I think in these situations it is always wise to go with what you feel is fair. Try and make it a win win for everybody, that way you can walk away with a smile. If you feel the contact is unsafe in any way I would report it but if it is just an over enthusiastic seller trying to fix the problem (in a clumsy way!) it's up to you what direction you take. :8}

Perhaps my post #13 was missed so I will repeat it
The listing does have measurements. Does the coat match the measurements given?

@Movie models. Firstly, its not black mail at all. why because the SELLER offered the BUYER $5 to modify or change there feedback. There was no demand for money buy the BUYER just a offer from the SELLER which actually makes it BRIBERY its not BLACKMAIL at all its BRIBERY.
But all the same the comments here are just appaulling and you should not be subject to there bulling .
If it continues just report them.

Sweetpee, you are slightly closer and yes, in everyday language we could say that the seller is trying to bribe the buyer into changing the FB. However, if we are going to be talking in legal terms, bribery refers to the offering, giving, soliciting, or receiving of any item of value as a means of influencing the actions of an individual holding a public or legal duty. Compensating the buyer for the fact that the item was not described correctly = IT IS NOT WOOL and was smaller than the measurements/size given. We can only go on what the OP told us. So IF the info is correct, the OP has full right to ask for compensation, and if she is happy with the outcome she may change the FB. There is nothing wrong or illegal in that.

Its a fine line. It is all in the wording at times. Im sure you have studied law and spent many years in litigation to be able to give such wonderfully accurate legal advice. Afterall. What would I know? Ive only run thousands of successful court actions, sat through hundreds of hours of Royal Commissions and instructed Q.C.s' in dozens of successful multi-million dollar proceedings.
So how come you now sell plastic animals for $10 a pop on eBay?

Basking in reflected glory, are we? It would have been a long time since you instructed a QC.
The title has not been in use for 20 years.

OMG, I have had 4 meetings this morning, managed to have lunch also, did some more work,
came back home - and this is still going!
Offering someone 5 bucks is not a blackmail, it's not even a bribery - it's a small pathetic act, not even worth talking about.
From OP's description of a fit/size, it looks like the MEASUREMENTS IN THE LISTING ARE CORRECT - she just didn't look at them, in fact she stated that there were no measurements (I think that is what she 's said, too lazy to read it again)
As for not being wool - big deal!
If indeed even that is correct.
OP didn't mention if there was a fabric label in the coat and what did it say - she just said how she knows there is no wool in it.
Describing something as woolly or wool are two different things, to me term woolly more implies the feel of the fabric rather than an exact content.
Anyway, this is all so minor, coat arrived, by the looks of it excatly as advertised, there is no cheating involved on the seller's part - I mean, with a listing as it was OP wouldn't even win a PP case!
