I have a seller that hasn't accepted a payment yet through paypal.
I have gathered that maybe the payment might be on a 21 day hold for the seller, the seller has sold over 11 items in around 3 days
and I have noticed that maybe all other payments from the other buyers aren't being accepted either as there hasn't been any movement regarding feedback and what not.
Seller has relisted more items,I have messaged the seller asking why they haven't accepted the payment with no response from them.
So in a nut shell does anyone know how much time paypal gives the seller to accept the payment before cancelling it?
I have the choice though to cancel it at any stage but I don't want to do this as I might end up with a UID.

I would cancel the payment and move on unless it was a one-off(sic) they are the only seller of.
Doesn't sound like they have their head around selling and don't seem to care about customer service. Or receiving payment.
Any messages through eBay will go to the seller, so no excuses there.

Just ignore the reminders to pay.
The transaction will eventually disappear into the Archives.
If the seller does open an Unpaid Item dispute just tell ebay that you have paid and give them one of the paypal Unique IDs.

They shouldn't be able to open an UPI against you because they already did and it closed when you tried to pay again. If the seller doesn't send a cancellation request, they lose their fees, nothing happens to you apart from not getting the item you wanted. It will disappear off your purchase history after 60 days, or if you're sick of looking at it, archive it (or "hide" it as it is now).

If it was on a 21 day hold it would still show as paid at your end and the seller should have posted. More likely scenario is that they have not upgraded their Paypal account or they have made a typo in the email address.
If the payment is showing as unclaimed and they are not getting back to you then they are either clueless or inefficient scammers.
Has the dollar sign turned blue on your ebay page? If so just give it a couple more days and then open an item not received dispute through Paypal. If it is not showing as paid in ebay and it says unclaimed in Paypal then you can either give it a bit longer or you can cancel the payment in Paypal and just wait to see if they get in touch. If it is unclaimed and you do nothing it will go back into your Paypal account, or back onto your card if you used one, after 30 days.

In ebay it has the hour glass and says the payment is being processed.
In paypal it says the seller hasn't accepted the payment yet.
This is the first time the seller has sold anything, but they have been around since 2012.
I'm just waiting to see if any other buyers respond to the seller through feedback as I'm getting no response from the seller personally.
It's a strange one and all I can think of is what you said that their email could be wrong or they haven't got a premier paypal account to accept payments?

If it's the first thing they've sold and it's showing as the sellers hasn't accepted it, I'd say, like you said, they haven't upgraded their account. They may not know they need to. Maybe if you decide to send another message, mention that they need to upgrade? Sometimes new sellers are grateful for a bit of a helping hand.

They have sold 11 items and have 23 items listed at the moment and not responding to any messages.
They have been on ebay for 4 years but only started selling,I've done a bit of snooping and found out that they are buying and then reselling at a 300% margin lol good luck to them.
Surely they would be wandering why they haven't received any payments?
Only feedback left for them is from sellers and they haven't left any feedback at all since they opened their account.
Only once before I had to deal with this problem and it was an incorrect email address, but surely this seller would be receiving my messages?

Another scenario could be, some sellers turn off messages for sold items. Not sure a new seller would know to do that, but I have seen it with some larger sellers. If that's the case, he may get a message through an active listing. Just trying to think up possibilities!

Looks like I might as well cancel as it has been 8 days since I paid and all the other buyers surely would have paid also.
The seller has nearly sold $1000 worth and if that was me I would definately be wandering where my money was.
Pretty hard to resolve when a seller is un-responsive except going ahead and cancelling.

If it's been that long, then I think that would be a good idea. Is it something you can get from another seller? If so, they are probably more worthy of your money.
