Seller refusing to provide tracking number and ignoring emails

I recently bought a ps4 console from a seller. He was a new seller with 0 feedback.

Since i had been scammed in a similar transaction before, i asked him if he was genuine and that the console is the real deal.

Then he seems to have been offended.

I later apologised and explained my past experiences

Then he shipped the item but told me since i was rude to him (which i did not) that i can forget about the tracking number and just wait for the package.

But the problem is that i usually have my stuff sent to an auspost parcel collection point and not my home address (easier that way)

And now with no tracking, i will have no idea if the package got to the post office safely.

I tried to message him- both politely and some what aggressively (no swearing or anything)- but he is simply not replying.

What should i do now to deal with this seller

Re: Seller refusing to provide tracking number and ignoring emails

Depending on where you both are. Australia Post won't even start looking for a non-received parcel for a fortnight (I think) and quote standard (non-express) delivery as 2 to 7 BUSINESS days.

So if you don't get it in 2 you will reckon you have been ripped off?

Regardless of whether or not this seller is a scammer, you seem to handle things strangely. No tracking number a day after purchase, so you leave a neg. Right there goes ANY leverage you might have had with the seller, as you've already done the damage and they are unlikely to want to cooperate any further. I know I wouldn't.

Re: Seller refusing to provide tracking number and ignoring emails

I probably would too. If i had a second copy. The first was posted on Thursday afternoon, after all. And the Op has no chance of buying from me. A reason why I LOVE the buyer board.

I am not claiming the seller is not a scammer. I am questioning the buyer's response and failure to allow reasonable times for receipt.

What happens when they encounter a legitimate seller and leave a neg a day after payment?

so you left a negative feedback on Thursday, 2 days after you bought it saying "good product however slow..."

err you havent got it yet so how do you know its a good product
secondly how is it slow within 2 days?

Look if you have been scammed i feel sorry for you... but seriously any new seller that wont accept paypal and only bank deposit has scammer in bright lights on his forehead... be more careful

lastly i have looked at some recent feedback you have given.. you seem to neg anyone who is "slow" .. you do realise that most sellers post pretty quickly (i post within 1 business day) and from there its in Australia Posts hands and i know for a fact that when i post to certain destinations within Australia it can take longer to get there than it does internationally... its hardly the sellers fault how long an item takes to get to you if they post straight away

Welcome to my BBL

Re: Seller refusing to provide tracking number and ignoring emails

Given there is endless feedback harping on about speed of delivery why is it that OPs current listing that ends 9/4 has estimated shipping to me in melbourne of

Delivery: Estimated between Mon. 14 Apr. and Wed. 23 Apr.

Thats up to 14 days to get it to me, surely that would rate up there with a neg for slow shipping according to OPs standards. Shouldn't I have it by 11/4

By the way one reason why original seller may not have tracking is because they were new, didn't use online tracking and so never thought to keep counter receipt. They were unaware buyers could be so difficult common newbie error

Lessee - 2 day handling time equals 11/4. Friday.

1 to 6 BUSINESS day shipping which eBay quote even though AP quote 2 to 7 equals, umm, 14 to 22 April.

But you are claiming that a buyer should expect something earlier than possible...

Oops, no you're not. That is what the OP is claiming. And a seller to boot. Shame, OP.

Re: Seller refusing to provide tracking number and ignoring emails

the item that this thread is about ended at about 6.21pm on the 2nd April, they left negative feedback at around 9.25am on the 4th April . . . . . . not many sellers would want to deal with a buyer with this type of track history, that is why the many mentions of BBLs.

I'll make it easy for anyone to check . . . . . item . . . . http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PS4-/221407800202
