I just won some furniture on eBay
The seller now wants an extra $80 because someone offered her more money
i told her I won it but she is now saying she was selling for her mother and has had a better offer

Ignore the seller.
If the seller does not cancel & refund you then open a case for Item Not Received at the appropriate time.
You really should only leave feedback when everything has been resolved.

You say you agreed to it, there is no way I would have agreed, you couldnt be that desperate. she was a new seller which is no excuse, and now sold to the other person. You gave her a well deserved negative

Yes, that is very bad form as well as being outside ebay terms & conditions but there is no doubt a fair few sellers do this. Mainly new ones.
This is about the second time this week I have seen someone with a negative feedback rating!
The seller deserved that negative. It may not affect her in that it doesn't look as if she uses ebay much but it may help other buyers to be wary. And she may have an unwelcome surprise when she finds she still has to pay the fees on the sale.
