Two days ago I won an item on auction and paid immediately via Paypal
(he didn't send an invoice) but Paypal shows his email address is
unregistered, and so far he hasn't claimed the money.
I haven't heard anything from him except a store generated email
saying thanks for the purchase, and that was sent from a different email
address.
So I've emailed him 4 times asking what to do next. and that the money
is waiting and why is he unregistered but no word. from him . Also the item seems to be relisted.
He is active as he's made 10 feedbacks in the last couple of days.
I'm thinking he didn't get enough on auction so is just ignoring me, so what
I'm wondering is how long do I need to wait to cancel the payment
sitting there in Paypal. I do want to buy another of these items and
there are plenty around. (mattress topper). BTW he's in Australia.

Seems quite unusual, considering they're a relatively high volume seller, and while there are a few negs, I didn't spot any over PayPal issues or refusing to sell. The one you won is showing to me as $50 P&H - they've sold several others in larger sizes with much less P&H, which leads me to believe being unhappy with the sale price wouldn't be the cause, and they would have to have put in an incorrect PP address when listing for that to be causing the problem.
That doesn't really help, just seems quite odd based on appearances. They might have auto-FB set up when payment is made and not attending the computer over the weekend, so I would wait until tomorrow for a reply.

..... and if their PP account is not accepting payments they will be greeted with flood of messages from everybody who tried to pay, so do please give them a chance. Or if you tried to pay on Friday it could be just a glitch. You could try to stop the payment; it should be possible if it is not claimed. Then try to pay again.

Thanks, yes it is strange, and you're quite right Digital the p@p is high so with my
bid they get $60 which is only a litle less than the BIN price.
And Supa I won't rush into anything mean, there is a Cancel button on Paypal so I can
stop payment anytime, but I'd prefer not to do that., I just wondered what a fair time would be
to wait before doing that. if I don't hear from them.

I meant to get the money back and then try to pay again, but it is quite possible you will not be able to do that without new invoice. I would certainly give them at least 24 hours from tomorrow morning. 🙂

(scratches head & wonders how to answer that)
Lets just say that if I put my experience on these boards re a group of rather odd Chinese sellers who are not registered with Paypal, you would be completely convinced that I had possums in my closet & they were having a full on rave party.;\;\

OK, lol, gotcha. In his favour if it is favour his store is in Sydney, or
so he says. Who knows?
Anyway I still haven't heard from him and the money is sitting
in Paypal unclaimed so I think I'm right that he didn't get enough
putting it to auction. Thing is he usually sells these toppers BIN
at about $20 more than he got at auction, so it's not like he is
hugely out of pocket.
Anyway I think this will be the first Neg I've ever given, not that it will
matter as with all his sales it will be off the front page in a day 😞
