Seller wont honour the sale as final price was too low, what are my options after being #$#$ around.

From the below messages - The seller has 2 other identical listings for the same item and just wont send it as they have listed the auction startign price $100 more than what I paid, I explained that I would be buying 10 x as much from them and that I had already made 3 purchases recently, but  they wont play ball.

 

Ben a long time ebayer ad If I leave it after 30 days I cant claim money back as they are a huge ebay company 20K sold and I am one customer. Its really frustrating to be amicable and they dont care if I leave negs for 4 items, and just keep giving poor excesuses as shown below, I am bout to open a " Your item has not been delived, and was wondering if I select the (I still want my item) will this help to push back the date of not received from 30 days, thanks in advance, message below are most recent to oldest FYI,

 

23.8.24 - Seller -  Sorry for the inconvenience, We have just confirmed this problem with the logistics company. They lost your package. I can apply to my superiors to resend you one, but this product is out of stock now. It will arrive in about a month. Are you willing to wait? I will arrange to resend it to you as soon as it arrives. Or a full refund is also OK. What do you think? I look forward to your friendly reply. Sorry again for everything that happened.

Fantastic news! 

Once you called their bluff, they obviously knew they couldn't keep delaying you.

 

I don't believe the seller's feedback was so low that you could have predicted the problem. They were at 99.1 % and advertised as a top rated seller. The main problem they have seems to be sending out faulty products. And even if you read the neg and neutral feedback, a couple of the neutrals should (in my opinion) have been positives.

 

I think the lesson though is that when sellers try delaying tactics, it is best to open an official claim asap as they can try to mess you around but once it is with ebay, they pretty much have to refund.
