Hi all,
I sent back an item almost a month ago, it seemed to be stuck in transit. The seller refused to refund me even though they could see it was sent back but hadn't arrived yet, I filed a paypal dispute. When I did this eBay closed my return request and I can no longer see the tracking info.
Eventually paypal closed the request as well, now I cannot re open the ebay case and am stuck without a product or money for it.
What can I do?

Once you opened the PayPal dispute, you excluded the transaction from being covered by the money back guarantee. You are no longer eligible for a refund through eBay.
Why on Earth would you open a PayPal dispute while you still had an eBay return in progress? You should only ever do this as a last resort.
I would be looking at a chargeback via your credit/debit card provider.

That is how it works
You cannot have two disputes open at once
You had an eBay dispute open, which closed when you tried to open the dispute in PayPal while the eBay one is still active
And correct, you cannot re-open a closed case
