if any eBay staff are reading this please could they read the messagges from

<Removed>

This involves an 80 year old picture frame sold for $8 and because I described it only as 'Used' the buyer wanted a refund because it did not have a stand to support it. There followed a tirade of abuse including the 'F' word. My opinion is that people like this should not be on eBy. They cause a lot of stress to someone my age (middle 70s)

I would like to hear comments please

eBay don't read here. The discussion boards are maintained by a company called Lithium and responders are other members like yourself.

It is up to buyers n sellers to work out any discrepencies and sellers should especially have all defects described in listings.

You can select help at the top of the page and report a member to eBay for abusive messages.

I see you have relisted the frame with some description....at least you learned from your mistakes.

While the buyer should not have used bad language he was entitled to feel annoyed as the original description, or lack of it, made no mention of the missing support stand.

To be honest, your age has nothing to do with it....if you cannot cope with the "stress" caused by dealing with all sorts of people then you need to think whether ebay is right for you.

Of course there is a difference between annoyed and downright rude over an $8 item,  reduced from $12.50 as 'Make and Offer', which is really being sold as a curio.

Incidentally, I recently bought a battery charger  on eBay. The seller was listed as in Sydney but the item arrived from China. The power plug was a Chinese plug and didn't fit. Was I annoyed? No , I merely told the seller and he refunded the funds. No abuse,just a pleasant transacxtion that had a glitch. I even left him Poitive feedback for his courteous manner.

People display their annoyance in different ways.....obviously your buyer has decided that full on rudenes works for him.

Just report him to ebay as said above and let them deal with it.

There are plenty of rude people in the world.  No doubt you have met plenty of them in the past.

Don't take it to heart.

That is exactly how a mistake is supposed to work on ebay.

Unfortunately some sellers are not as obliging as your Chinese seller and you have to open a dispute, which often leads to aggression on both sides.

Some buyers just forgo the pleasantries and go for the jugular as your buyer did.
