I must admit that I'm sick of seeing the same item from the same seller re-listed for up to 5 years long. I just can't understand how some sellers have items up at rediculous prices and the same listing has appeared for over 5 years. Don't ever tell me the seller has mulitple items, as they don't, they are just so greedy that instead of pricing the item at roughly what it should the just have it ongoing.
I think that eBay should allow an item to be listed only 5 times at the same price and after that it can not be relisted as eBay is fast becoming the home of online shopping of grossly overpriced garage sale junk !

Well, dave, you're now talking about "stuff", not garbage. I have a house full of "stuff", and as soon as I give some to the local Op Shop, I need it:^O

It's the recycling paradigm. If I throw something out, it could very well be just the thing I need in ten years time. Like my 27MHz CB radio. You never know when there will be a need for one.

Exactly!!! It's a bit like tidying up all my fabrics - I stand back, admire my efforts, then half an hour later I can't find the fabric I need to make up an order - hence I don't often give "stuff" to the Op Shop or tidy my sewing room;\

I know where everything is in my house. On the floor. No confusion.

The OP might be a seller of all of those wonderful 99c items from china with the 80$ postage fee.
Op why don't you just refine your searches to remove the word vintage, retro, antique, then all you will see is MODERN...........

popular topic.
with my B&M, I occasionally cull the items that haven't moved for a while so as to make the more desirable items stand out so they are not lost in-between the thousands of other items.
As for online, if you had a store with categories and decided to be a price leader, so be it.
The only reason I could see for you getting upset is that the item you like to search for is in fact this item, however the price is so high that you would never consider buying it.
Maybe the item is a drawcard for the sellers other items,
ie: make this highly desirable/searched for item so expensive so that it never sells, but continues to draw customers in to browse through the less desirable items the seller has, an online form of marketing so to speak?
