Getting so frustrated with this sites inability to remove scam listings.
The scammer 141488104893 has sold 137 of these at $17.89 each and they will receive $2450.93 via
PP,(as that's their preferred payment option).
The buyer will receive nothing and wont be able to start a PP claim as it's listed in Pocket bikes,(they would have to
ring PP to get a refund,"maybe").
That's on top of the $5000 plus for their other scam items that "sold".
Then they'll get more for their 5 multi listings for items under $20 that have a true value of $350 plus.
Each listing has: Welcome to my eBay Store
eBay can't even see that's it's a hijacked listing as they don't have store.
Then you get the other 50 plus scam items in that category including the Micros SD memory cards,(that will all
be 16 or 32 maximum instead of the posted 64 or 128).
They ran the same scam last year and some of these sellers where involved then,
Trust & Safety just don't seem to excist anymore as these listings where reported via Live Help and passed on
to T & S.
Just that one seller sold over 500 items so that will be more members that will think that this site is scam central
and they may never buy again,(if they then post their experience on FB there could be 1000's that might
never trust this site).
Bottom service as always and it almost makes you believe that they must have a vested interest in those scam
listing,

I think you are right Taz, and the vested interest is eBays bottom line.
I don't know how you can be bothered sometimes with it all, but very glad you do it.

First off I will say, are people really that thick that they think they can get ANY Makita product for that price? It's no wonder these scammers do so well on here, there are suckers all over the place. I wonder if their account has the 21 day PayPal hold on their funds????
It has obviously been hijacked by a Chinese scammer and that is evident by their shipping details. They mention 'project', which I have established, 'item' in Chinese, translates to 'project' in English. Also, you only have to look at the wording for the rest of it.
Shipping :All projects will receive payment and will be transported 48 business hours inside. Be transported by the airmail of the international standard (besides Saturday and Sunday), it will usually take 15- 30days, may delay another week sometimes, the national customs about you. |

Looking at them again, they wouldn't be subjected to the 21 day hold on funds because they have more than 25 feedback, the account is more than 90 days old and they would have 'sold' more than the threshold. My guess is that's why they got their mates to leave feedback, to bump it over the 25.
I can almost guarantee that nothing will be done, despite numerous reports from members. If past history is anything to go by anyway. I think reports that I put in now are ignored, because nothing ever happens to listings I report any more.

There may be another aspect working in their favour too. Given eBay & Paypal are set by default to not allow disputes to be opened for items purchased in the vehicles etc category, it may also be possible that by default Paypal doesn't hold/restrict payments for items sold in said category as they are supposed to be excluded from Paypal protections (or at least they would be if they actually belonged in the vehicles category).

"Scam Central" it is indeed Taz when these sellers can keep selling and no action is taken by the invisible T & S, and no redress by the buyer because of the listing category..................
It looks like it's not enough to look at feedback, now members have to look at the listing category as well. There's been a few posts on the boards about sellers using categories that have no Paypal protection, that can only increase when other scammers jump on the "free-cash bandwagon".
Reminds me of this one of yours from way back...............
And of course this one Taz....
Another step forward on eBay's self-destruct programm methinks.............hmmmmmm................
