Hi Ebay, firstly your chatbot is absolutely hopeless! Show me how I can chat to your Accounts team? Secondly, by law, you must provide me with an invoice/receipt which shows exactly what I have paid AND this should match with my bank account. I paid $686.63 for my item, yet you charged/withdrew $707.23 on my bank account. Thirdly, your GST calculation should be 10% and you have charged over 10%. How can I actually speak to EBay (not chat with the hopeless chatbot) ??? Please explain.

Thank you, just spoke to EBay who said it will deduct as USD and not the AUD conversion. The additional charges are from my bank, who charge a conversion fee because it is a USD deduction/payment.

Whilst the chatbot is hopeless - it doesnโt let you inquire about actual payments and the corresponding bank deduction, I did finally speak with EBay who were very helpful. So much better when you can actually speak to someone. Thank you Community for providing the โcontact an agentโ shortcut.

The bot is very basic with equally basic generic responses - always has been. For any situation not directly addressed within the help pages, it is necessary to speak to an agent.
