This seller ripped me off

This seller ripped me off. I never bought the item in question and had the sale checked out by PayPal. There was not enuff evidence to say that I hadn't bought it. It was a download code for a game ... I don't even own a game that uses this format!! I tried to explain this to the seller who then refused to listen, stating that I may have used it!, when I then turned around and sold the item on he told others I was a dodgy buyer! When the person that bought it from me tried to download the game, guess what!? It had already been used! I saw he had placed this item back on sale and asked if it was the one I bought... No I was told!! I lost my money and had to refund my buyers money and this **bleep** proceeds to tell others that I was dodgy!!

How strange.  Your feedback to each other is weird.

The seller says BEWARE! -PURCHASES ITEM,MAKES PAYPAL CLAIM,THEN SELLS PURCHASED ITEM THEMSELVES!

and you reply with BEWARE this Seller!!! The item sold had already been used!!

Anyway, this probably needs to be moved to the buying or selling board.

According to your completed listings, you sold "NEW - The Legend Of Zelda The Wind Waker HD - Wii U Game - Download Code AU" on July 1 for $41.25 and you and your buyer even exchanged feedback for same. So how can you possibly now claim that you never bought the thing in the first place? I'm not the least bit surprised that your seller is calling you dodgy. I'd be doing the same thing.

Re: This seller ripped me off

Maybe I'm wrong here, but just a thought. Could be that he's trying to say that the game he purchased was not the one that he thought it was, and when he onsold the code, more problems started. Even though it was not the code he wanted, the seller has no control over what happens with it once he sells it, and could well, and rightly so, assume that he is being taken for a ride. These download codes don't usually come with any warranty, as they are just a number, not an item you can argue over. The OP maybe is not too good at explaining the situation, which is not helping much either.

Clear example of what type of product NOT to buy on ebay.

Re: This seller ripped me off

You would not have won a Paypal claim anyway as there is no buyer protection for digitally delivered goods, They are not allowed to be sold on ebay either so you had no business reselling it especially if you knew it was useless. Your buyer would have enough evidence to have you charged with fraud if soomebody sends them a link to this thread.

Re: This seller ripped me off

I didn't know it was useless until the person who bought it from me showed me that it was!... Hence I refunded their money! The person I bought it from swore black n blue that it was a solid buy... It wasn't! That's why I said I was ripped off

How very true! If I find out who used my account to buy it, I will be kicking their backside! It's not something I ever intended to buy, never had the game format to even use it! Live n learn.... Will never buy anything from this seller tho..... Soo very dodgy
