I've purchased an item from the Netherlands and it's being delivered through UPS.
I've never purchased from the Netherlands before but on the tracking it shows that it has gone to Germany then France then the US and now it's in Hawaii,so is this the normal path it would go through?
Just scratching my head as to why it would go to America and Hawaii and not straight to AU?
Anyone know if this is the correct route or its gone on a world wind trip lol.

UPS is an international courier company and as far as I know most of it's deliveries to Australia come direct from the USA rather than from any European country. They like to get a full load for flights to Australia so collect them all in one place....UPS have their own planes...they don't just use space in other company's planes.
This seems to be confirmed by the Cook's Tour that your parcel has been on.
Hawaii is a normal stopover for Freight flights from the USA.

Life for a parcel is nasty, brutish and short.
It deserves a bit of a holiday before it's destroyed by its new master, ie you.

I should know about this one.....my OH's oldest nephew is a senior UPS pilot and does the Australian run every few months.
