Unable to do purchase!

When I pay for items, it is processed via my Visa card (you can also have it drawn from your bank account)so Saturday I lost the card and had it cancelled.Had one an item won through bidding so couldn't pay cause of cancellation of card. Have contacted Paypal and got them to add my bank account so as I can do the purchase.Will have to wait two days before this is active to use. What a drag.

That is probably exactly what will happen Padi...Canadian sellers are well know for trying to save money for the buyer by sending everything by surface mail without saying anything.

I had a seller in Canada tell me that she had parcels to Australia and New Zealand take 3-6 months to arrive and one excelled itself and took 9 months to NZ.  She was thinking of pulling the plug on posting here because of the shipping times.

I've only had a couple of purchases from Canada lyndal and even though the seller wasn't in the middle of the Yukon it was still a 6-7 week timeframe to get to Perth.

You probably have a bad feeling due to one or all of the below issues:

1) there is currently "mail forwarding" from a previous address to the local Post Office.
2) Michelle is currently in temporary accommodation
3) Item will most likely arrive AFTER move FROM temporary accommodation
4) a change of mail redirection entails completely cancelling one redirection and applying for a new one from the previous address to the new address AND ensuring all cards & accounts are updated with latest address (especially eBay and PayPal accounts).

No Padi, nothing connected to Canada Post would make my head spin after 40 odd years of experience.

Try your calculations using the Postcode for Dartmouth Nova Scotia and actual item measurements of 9" x 6" x 3".....you need to allow a bit for packaging.  The cheapest airmail option would be International Small Packages.

Michelle there are many big and boutique companies in Australia who would supply you with rodent treats as opposed to getting them from say Portugal ? and ...... Relating to this thread I've seen some great waist bags locally ....... OS mail, as we have all experienced is fraught with problems.
