Hi all, I'm feeling very unsatisfied tonight with stuff I've bought on eBay over the past few months. I'm not a huge buyer (not a huge seller either), but I do buy things occasionally. Out of the last 20 or so items I've bought, I only really love two of them - a purse I got for $5, and trimming scissors for my dogs. Everything else, even though it's perfectly ok, is not as great as I wanted it to be. I'd love to start buying more, I guess I'm just afraid I might buy something expensive and then it won't fit or something, then I'll be stuck. Anyone else feeling the same way?
Feels a lot better now I've got that out of my system

you need to shop in stores then where you can feel, see, handle the item. If you are not happy then buying online is not for you.
I am happy with pretty much all I have bought.

I am 100% happy with everything I've bought. But I understand what online buying is about, which may or may not be what I fantasise about, which has nothing to do with online purchasing.
Everything else, even though it's perfectly ok, but you're not satisfied... says it all really.

Why would you be stuck ? I see your selling clothing items (some new some pre owned), dose this mean they didnt fit or something ?
Anyone buying your items would say they are great and a perfect fit ?

I would, but I live in the middle of nowhere with only two clothing stores - both of them pretty small, and very pricey ($100+ per item, seriously - Ariat/Yarra Trail/etc). So it kind of leaves me with no choice but to buy online. If I run out of something, or I desperately need new clothes, I can't just drop everything and drive four hours to the nearest place with some decent shops. So while I understand what you're saying, buying online is a necessity for me. I do enjoy buying and selling, I was just having a vent 😛

Under the new ebay system of defecting sellers for the least thing, as a buyer I am a lot more careful with my feedback. If something is not as described, or you are disappointed with the quality, the best thing to do is talk to your seller - most sellers will take the item back and refund.
Even though you have only given a neutral - instead of a possible negative - these days this can have a very bad effect on the seller's ability to continue selling. Also anything less than 4 stars creates a defect for the seller.
And, although I am not a great fan of Aust Post, to give a neutral because they sent more than was ordered seems unreasonable.

jessicadazzler - the most appropriate user id - tailor made!
But, the only thing that dazzles is your ignorance (being a seller and all) of the effects of f/backs on seller's accounts and reputation.
I was somewhat saddened to see that you gave people neutrals because the quality was not good.
Now, not only that the quality of anything is highly subjective, but I can't see how the quality can reflect on the seller - unless they made the item themselves.
And if that is reflected in the items YOU sell - like, items that you didn't like - then I can see why, but still - seller only sells things that were manufactured by someone else. Third party and all that.
Just imagine, you are selling a skirt and say in the listing:
"Listen here people, this is really cheap and nasty, badly made, **bleep**py material, was worn somewhere around Jurrasic period"
Someone may buy the skirt and think the fabric was wonderful!
Different people, different opinions on the same item.
