I remember now why i stopped using ebay ages ago I got frustrated at all the times I bought from china and they never sent it to me. Tyen they drag on the process over the 30 days sso you cannot get refunded by paypal. This time I am giving them a chance to refund me if not I will be leaving very neg feedback. Anybody else had this problem?
Just venting my anger but I suppose you get what you pay for and I knew the risks so I can't blame anybody else. Its just these shonky traders make it hard for the good chinese sellers.
Is there any truth to the fact that if they get a bad name they just move on and start over with a new account and do it again?
So so so so over it..... But I have also had great dealings with some great chinese ebayers. So I suppose they can come from anywhere not just china.
end vent.

Perfect example of what Australian society is today! Of course no one is responsible for their own actions, it is everyone elses fault, eg: if they didn't say that I wouldn't of said that etc etc etc...
If someone is being rude ignore them they don't deserve help, If someone is being rude, they aren't worth chatting to, and if someone is being rude, being rude back just makes you look exactly like them. Choose to ignore and surround yourself with positive people, choose to be a positive person and make society a better place, choose to be a human who knows humanity.

Did you really mean to direct this reply to a Moderator? What did li.vish do to deserve this?

I was just commenting on people's behaviour in general, and agreeing with her about keeping things civil and suggesting that if people are rude maybe they don't deserve being responded too.

So ebay need to do something else. I am not sure what. Maybe if there has been no feedback from a buyer within, say, 40 days, ebay should sent out an automated email, a courtesy email that asks buyers to tick an option froma checklist, such as-purchase completed, item received or item not received-wish to put in an unpaid item dispute (with a rider that this is recommended if the item has not been received as the time limit is close to expiry.)
A note will appear next to an item in the purchase history after 4 weeks.
It says something along the lines of: Don't forget to leave feedback! Issues with this transaction? Go to the resolution centre by [date- around 43 days after payment].
The note about having 45 days is directly underneath the order details on a PayPal receipt, and information is more than readily available... All anyone would have to do is make an effort to actually find out this information and it would take 2 minutes. "I had no idea how to deal with this problem" = "I didn't look for any information on how to deal with this problem", and eBay can only do so much about that.

Isn't that essentially just catering for the buyers' laziness though? When they first signed up, everybody who belongs to both eBay and Paypal ticked very prominent boxes stating that they had read and understood the terms & conditions of entry and membership to the sites and if they were too lazy or just too plain stupid to have actually done so and simply lied instead, then surely they should bear the full responsibility when something goes wrong with one of their transactions and they've failed to avail themselves of any of the remedies available to them because of their initial stupidity or laziness.
People these days tend to be far too quick to blame somebody else for their own inadequacies or stupidity when they really should be taking responsibility for their own actions, or in many cases, their own failure to act upon information which has always been readily available to them if only they'd bothered to look. Those members who need to have their hand held every time they buy something on eBay would be far better served sticking to B&M retailers instead, IMO of course.
I wasn't quite going to put it like that But I essentially agree - it bothers me when solutions to a problem diminish the responsibility or standard expectations of people when being informed about a service one chooses to use should be a pretty basic expectation.
I keep recalling that campaign slogan from Homer when he ran for sanitation commissioner - Can't someone else do it? (i.e. a comment on people tending towards wishing they didn't even have to think about the mess they make, let alone do anything to clean it up - and that is not a comment on, or reference to, springyzone's suggestion, nor a suggestion that a bad transaction is the buyer's fault, just a general observation).
