I put a couple of posts on Want It Now, as I'm looking for some books. Have used it before, no trouble. Now, I logged in to see if there were any responses to my queries, and the minute you click your entry you get booted out, back to ebay's home page. I notice another ebayer has lodged a Want it Now subject line, regarding access being blocked. I emailed ebay & was told I should add credit card details to my seller account. This - as far as I'm concerned - is rubbish. Has anyone else had this problem? Are ebay trying to do away with it & not honest enough to just to tell people the truth.

Enough people have ads. who seem to want to use it...I contacted ebay again and this time they're telling me I need to clean out my cookies. The ebay staffer said she was able to access it which again, is rubbish. They are obviously ignoring feedback because they want to shut it down.

I am fond of WANT IT NOW too, I often have a look, and have posted a few times.
Can't find it on the SITE MAP anymore, but I may be blind.
I have saved the link that I used before though, which still seems to work - and I notice people are still posting.

but you can't click on the posts, I agree.
Some kind of ebay glitch, or they don't want us to use it?

I have used Want It Now over the years both as a buyer and seller and always found it quite useful.
I also used to regularily browse WIN on UK, USA and Canada ebay sites. These pages are not working either - exactly the same scenario as ebay AU the link goes back to home page. Too much of a coincidence eh? It's obviously being phased out as they tried to do some time ago. I guess we just have to say goodbye to WIN.
I don't know why they don't just remove the link altogether instead of this silly charade (cleaning out cookies etc)
eBay is moving away from second-hand items and WIN is the first step (along with less auctions, benefits for using BIN et al)
What a shame!

My reply from ebay:
I see that you want to have a “want it now” post on your account. However, this feature of eBay is no longer available in our site that’s why you’re unable to find it since this is no longer available on the site.
Pretty sneaky, since it still allows people who saved the site to post their items, hope their not waiting for replies.

I have never understood ebay's decision not to promote the want-it-now feature, but instead to "hide" it. This feature encourages sellers to add listings in response to want-it-now messages and often results in sales. ebay makes money from the listing fees and the final value fees. Don't they want to make easy money??

'Thanks for this thread, I just tried Want It Now with the same results. All threads are booted back to the eBay home page.
If this feature is no longer to be available then it should be removed fully or a "no longer operating" note put in it's place at the very least.
The Help pages still list this as an option, and while the site map link is gone it's still in the A-Z index.
